Induction offers great comfort in utilization. Heat is emitted directly in the recipient and no longer under the cookktop’s vitroceramic glass. Thermal responsiveness is immediate, ensuring the control of cooking degrees to preserve the juices of the foods, and so the taste and nutritional values of the cooked dishes. Heating by induction is the result of an electromagnetic field under control created by an inductor (coil) located under the vitro glass directly in the cooking area. The cooking area is activated by an automatic detection of a ferromagnetic recipient placed in this field. The frequency of the magnetic field emitted by the generator activates the metal electrons of the pans by inverting them at the electromagnetic field’s frequency. By the JOULE effect, the recipient is going to rapidly rise in temperature and heat the foods or contained liquid. Heating is stopped as soon as the recipient is removed. The same thing takes place with the electromagnetic field active if a recipient is present and inactive if the recipient leaves the heating area. The vitroceramic glass surface does not heat anymore. Therefore, foods overflowing a pan will no longer burn when they come in contact with the vitroceramic plate. This greatly facilitates maintenance on the cooktop. Heating is approximately twice as fast and energy efficiency is the best in all heating categories. Only heating by induction offers an efficiency of more than 90% compared to the heating efficiency of gas which is 45%, due to the loss of heat around the recipient). The thus-obtained saving in energy allows a rapid depreciation of the installation. The De Jelin cooktop complies with European and international electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) standards, strictly limiting the magnetic field’s action area for optimum safety.
Why choose induction?
Multiple advantages to satisfy the most demanding customer :
Installed power :
7200 W, distributed as follows :
- Left front plate, 2200 W, boost fast 3000 W
- Right front plate, 1800 W extensible to 2300 W
- Right rear plate, 1400 W
- Left rear plate, 1800 W
Automatic detection of a metal recipient
The plate heats only if a metal recipient is placed on the area and stops as soon as the pan is removed. This reinforces your safety, but also represents a non-negligible energy saving.
Control by touch-sensitive keys.
The cooking areas are controlled and programmed by touch-sensitive keys. No more buttons, nor protruding seal, for quick and easy cleaning.
Programming
Each cooking area can be individually programmed thanks to an integrated timer. A “Fast” touch-sensitive key allows increasing the heating speed of one or several heating areas for a predefined time. People with pacemakers or artificial metal appendages must consult their physician before using the unit.
